I'm Speaking at Stop the War Q & A at Bournemouth University Tomorrow Night

I have been invited onto the panel at Stop the War Coalition, Bournemouth tomorrow night. This should be interesting as it's not my usual topic, but one that is certainly very newsworthy right now. The details can be found here. Pop along if you are local. Details are: We’re regularly asked questions like: Doesn’t a Prime Minister have to be prepared to go to war? Why stop selling weapons when it brings in billions to the British economy? If we had fewer leaders like Trump and Putin and more like Obama, wouldn’t the world be peaceful? Isn’t Trident vital for national security? This event will answer them. Our panel will have 3 minutes each to answer your questions about war, being anti-war, its consequences, the need for war, what good you think it does, etc. We want your questions put to our very eclectic panel about any issues you think should be answered. We welcome Dr Darren Lilleker, Associate Professor in political communication (Faculty of Media & Communication, Bournemouth University) to the panel once again. He has published widely on various aspects of political communication including areas of defence and foreign policy. Daniel Jakopovich is a writer, researcher and national organiser for the Stop the War Coalition. He was a guest lecturer in Politics, Political Economy and Sociology at the University of Cambridge and at several other universities. Johnathan MS Pearce, philosopher and author, rejoins us. He has published books on and spoken about topics such as Do we have free will?, is a self-described agnostic atheist, and regularly publishes for the Skeptic Ink [Patheos!] network.
